Card 1: Black Obsidian

Card 2: Tiger's Eye

Card 3: Rose Quartz

Card 4: Mahogany Obsidian

This set is freaking amazing! The book is full of Poe, what is not to love? If you are not familiar with Edgar Allan Poe, get to reading, a.s.a.p. ... seriously. Macabre is the best description of his style, horror, gothic, pretty much the pre sci-fi writer you must learn about, if these are your jam. Poe is a literary great, and a prolific writer. This set includes cool interpretations and quotes of heaps of his works; essays, poems, stories, all applied loosely to the tarot system.

The images are dark, gothic and beautifully rendered in bold rich colour and the facials are so expressive, they just make the deck for me. Eugene Smith captured the whole vibe beautifully. Honestly, this has to be my favourite set in my collection. There is just hours - eerrr weeks, probably years to be spent immersed in the world of Poe; especially in tandem with the tarot system. This was such a rad idea, and executed perfectly in my opinion. Bravo.

There are the standard 78 cards, all with the same cool-as crow, with a freaking eyeball in it's mouth! How cool is that? The character images, number and title are on the front. The cards are on the thinner side, but they are a good quality with an excellent shuffling texture. They are illustrated more of a caricature or comic style of artwork which works great with the intellectual gore of Poe's style of writing.

The 272 page companion book is in full colour and has the card image, Tell-Tale Heart ( a short bit about the story the card is based off of), Into the Maelström (expanded card meaning, upright and reversed keywords.)

This deck is the jewel of my collection, and it is so worth getting your hands on! Even the book iteself, is such a great item to have if you love writing or learning about literary greats, such as Edgar Alan Poe. Just get it, really, go out and get it now.

REVEAL AND CARD MEANINGS WILL BE POSTED BELOW ON THURSDAY, SO RETURN THEN TO FIND YOUR CARD AND CRYSTAL CHOICE, AND SEE WHAT MESSAGE SPIRIT HAS FOR YOU.
