Gods and Titans

Updated: May 25, 2023

This week's card pull and deck review from my deck collection, is Gods and Titans by Stacey Demarco with Artwork by Jimmy Manton. Published in 2011 through Blue Angel Publishing.

Feel free to choose a card (or couple of cards) below. Come back on Thursday and scroll to the bottom for card and crystal meanings. Check out that kick-ass obsidian I got from Kane. He rocks... get it. :D

Left / Card 1: Orange Calcite

Middle / Card 2: Ametrine

Right / Card 3: Strawberry Obsidian

This is actually my husband's deck. It lives in my office though and for years, this was daily reader for me. I absolutely love so many things about it. The edges are so worn from use, but I know them on an intimate level just like their other deck; Goddesses and Sirens, -I will use next week. These two and two others were my go to for readings as well as my personal work. They cover so many areas of life and I will be using them again after rediscovering them holding space in my collection.

Further to this, Stacey teaches through her creations, which I love. You all know I am a Polymath and am constantly learning and open to learn anything that piques my interest. I freaking love learning. You can feel the difference in a deck created by someone who is passionate about the subject, which she is. This allows a deeper connection to your own workings.

The deck is an oracle type deck in that it has 36 cards with an image of the deity, name and a keyword. The card backs are all the same, although I think the next printing had a different back. I must get one and find out. :D The Book is your standard Blue Angel book with 131 pages. Each card has about 3 pages of information; the short message, about the deity and the energies/meaning, the shadow side, symbols, and an invocation.

The images are fabulous! The artwork is so detailed and really compliments her writing and the theme. Jimmy Manton has done several decks, including the one I will post next week. He's a very talented artist that has that old school vibe like Boris Vellejo has for me. These two are definitely a complimentary duo when it comes to deck creation.

The colours are very emotive and powerful yet ethereal. I love his use of lighting, shadow and the facial expressions are awesome. The detail is astounding and they really make you want to learn more about the deity and the extra items in the images. The best part is that there are rituals you can do to get to know them yourself included with each card! How freaking cool is that? Most of her decks offer something to learn and connect with the subject.

Hands down this one and the Goddesses and Sirens decks would be the two I would grab if I could only pick 2. Not only are they powerful for my own work and self expression and learning, but also that of my clients and students. I highly recommend these two deck as staples in your collection.

REVEAL AND CARD MEANINGS WILL BE POSTED BELOW ON THURSDAY, SO RETURN THEN TO FIND YOUR CARD AND CRYSTAL CHOICE, AND SEE WHAT MESSAGE SPIRIT HAS FOR YOU.

LATEST NEWS:

The Lawless & Keen Tarot Project is now available on my Shop page. Fuck Yes!!

I have finished my first Tarot Deck with local artist, and friend; David Keen. This is a true labour of love! An art project; all hand made, from the first pen sketch by David to my scan, digital design, research, printing, sorting, cutting, trimming, writing the booklet, creating some spreads, art prompts, sticker kits and boxing.
We even did a test run through in October 2022. Those images are in the Group here, and on my Facebook page. Below is a glimpse into our process. Please be patient when ordering as I do it all myself by hand. We tried to keep it affordable as possible. It takes about 5 hours to make each deck and costs us $60 in materials. Hence, the cost is more than a manufactured deck would be. Thank you for your support, you have all been so amazing.
