Happy 45th Birthday my Love

I always knew that one day I would find a partner who would embrace all of me. I knew that I could embrace all of them, and that we would help each other to flourish.

I found you… far away from home, on a small island in the pacific, and you welcomed me with open arms, and we helped each other heal old wounds and make new discoveries about ourselves.

You gave me two amazing sons, those boys broke through my barriers and defenses and welcomed me into their lives, and accepted Sophia as their sister.

You embraced my child in your arms and never looked back. Taking a 3 year old with no father, and claiming her as your own, and treating her as such.

Your love for our children is immeasurable, indelible, undivided and unconditional. One of the things I admire most about you; is your ability to be such an amazing father, after growing up without one.

Your strength of character, wisdom, and thirst for knowledge is unmatched in anyone I have known. You are always eager to learn and research how we can improve our lives.

You see the real me, you have even helped me awaken the parts of me that had slumbered for protection; because they had been shamed and broken and were scared of being seen.

You can handle, and have embraced fully, the full range of my clairsentience.

You have awakened magic in me. Finding the music of my body and playing your own songs.

You are nurturing to me on my fragile days of hiding.

You lie awake with me in my darkest nights of tuning into tragic events.

You laugh with me when I feel pure joy from thunderstorms.

You don’t ridicule me, but rather look on in wonder, when I feel the rain on my skin when I am inside.

You hold and caress me in my moments of weeping for our world.

You encourage and support me on my path. You not only welcome the flow of students, clients and colleagues, but my days on end of writing. You welcome them with kindness and encouragement.

You love me through all of my quirks, my moods and my sensitivities; through my confusion, helping me decipher my clairvoyance and even find my clumsiness adorable.

You encourage me in all of my crazy adventures and stand right beside me as I try and change the world to be a better place and help people to be their best selves.

You hold the same values and ideals that I do; greeting all people as your equal and you have hope for humanity.

You trust people to find the good inside them selves, yet are never naïve about the state of the world.

You have had your heart shattered, and lived with illness, and are humbled by it rather than bitter.

You have the gift of compassion and forgive all who have hurt you and understand that there are no mistakes, only growth.

You have given me the gift of compassionate honesty, and working through anger.

For these reasons, and so many more, I am absolutely in love with you and adore you with all my heart.

Thank you for being the man that you are, and for walking this journey by my side.

Happy 45th Birthday, my love.
