Look Up, Look In Deck

This week's card pull and deck review from my deck collection, is Look Up, Look In: 52 Meditations on Nature by Mari Andrew. Published in 2021 through Clarkson Potter Publishers (imprint of Penguin Random House).

I received this deck as a gift, from my wonderful friend Denita. It is a very pretty deck, with a soft calming energy to it.

You may have noticed that I have the images showing, but this is because the cards have the meanings on the other side, like the mini decks -so this was on purpose.

The deck is like an Oracle deck. It has 52 cards (4x6in) with a whimsical image and name on the card fronts. The colours are soft yet bright and feel gentle and soothing. There is no book with this deck. Each card has its message on the back of the card. It is a message but also a meditative prompt. The box is a lift top standing box and the card slip in nicely.

The deck is about slowing down and seeing the beauty and messages around us in nature. Time for contemplation is often seen as a luxury and this is a gentle reminder to be sure you allow yourself that communication to keep your balance. I really like this one, especially as I, myself need to remember to do this as well.

The images are pretty basic but the simplicity is part of the charm of this deck. Each card has its own drawn and painted colour theme and the backs have different soft, muted, water colour borders. This is another deck that you could use for ritual work, daily or weekly inspiration or for meditation.

This is a cute deck and will add some lightness and beauty to your collection.
