The Power of the Angels

This week's card pull from my deck collection, is the The Power of the Angels by Adolfo Pérez Agustí and illustrated by Antonion Perera. Published (translation & Design) in 2007 by Hinkler Books Pty Ltd. (Cards and Original text 2005 Editorial LIBSA. Madrid 2005.)

This set is more of a study of Angels. The book is epic, and the information it contains is astounding. This is a true treasure for anyone interested in studying the Angelic Kingdom. Though it can be used as an oracle type deck, it is best as a study, ritual, prayer, mediation or daily practice deck.

The artwork is bright and lush, but simple and depicts the angels doing or holding various things. They all appear androgynous, but there is a definite lack of diversity by today's standards.

There are 72 cards and they each feature an angel from the Jewish Kabbalah and describe their attributes and how they can aid in your life. I definitely need to study this deck and book more. It is new to my collection; a gift from my amazing friend Mars.

The 300 page guide book is in black and white and has a full two pages on the card and an image. There are also invocations for the angels, and a plethora of other insight. The information in the book is quite extensive with biblical references, rituals, proclamations, invocations, prayers and angelic classifications.

I most definitely recommended this one for your collection if you love angles. Even just to have a great study resource, it is worth having on your shelves.
