This week's card pull and deck review is a deck from my deck collection that I really connected with when I first saw it. I have 3 of Cheryl's decks now, and they are all wonderful. Transcendent Journeys Oracle offers guidance from beings beyond the barriers of time and space. You may have heard of some of them, from history, or through legends or lore of different cultures. This deck is by Cheryl Yambrach Rose and is published through Blue Angel Publishing.
I would classify this one, as an ethereal, otherworldly, light-worker's deck. The writing is subtle and powerful. You can feel the spirit connection she had when writing this and it is like reconnecting with soul family when you do your reading. I really enjoy working with this deck and I find it is a gateway s well.
The artwork, of this deck is amazing as each image is an oil painting on linen! Cheryl is a visionary artist and begins the paintings with the eyes and then channels the art though onto the canvas in a spiral. My mother painted this way, so it holds a special connection for me in that way also. I also love the brush strokes being visible to remind you that each card was a painting.
I would describe as visionary, mystical and ethereal. The deck has a real old world feel, and the writing is also very sage advice. I have followed Cheryl's work for years now and love watching the decks she creates come together. Definitely check her out if you haven't heard of her. These can be read with the book or just used intuitively - although I recommend the book as the writing is so well done. They are great for a daily card pull and could be used for writing or journal prompts as well. The 'My journey through the year', 'My relationship journey', and 'My sacred journey' spreads are all fantastic.

THIS WEEK'S CARD PULL
The deck would be a really great gift for an artist, poet, mystic or deep thinker; anyone who really appreciates the time that went into this beautiful creation.
The 63 page book is nice. Inside is in black and white, with images of the cards, the card number and name, painting title, a message and lore about the image which also holds a deeper meaning for the card. There is a Table of contents, an introduction, a few spreads, the card meanings, about the artist and more decks by Blue Angel (which ironically, I have both of, in my collection.)
The 45 cards are standard oracle size, in full colour, thick and don't slide as easily, but they are still newish, with a matte finish. The backs are all the same gorgeous painting, which I can't find the name of. I would think it is a rendering of Mary Magdalene, but not sure -as it is not in this deck, or the other two I have. It is such a lovely painting though, so if you find the name, let me know!
The card face images are all gorgeous, a variety of characters in different natural and sacred spaces with some great hidden gems. The card face also has the card number and name and painting name. They have thin gold borders within another colour -not all the same. She used a wide colour palette in the artwork too, with nature colours and a lot of seasonal colours.
The box is a standard Blue Angel Oracle box, in full colour and plain interior that will last well. It has the painting The Eyes of Lyra which is card 25 in this deck. Again, nice and easy to open like most Blue Angel boxes.
I definitely would recommend this one for your art loving collector, or those who love Sacred sites and portals. I like using this one alone, but it also works great with her other decks; Art Through the Eyes of the Soul and The Mystique of the Magdalene.
